Easter Trip Day 9: Wild & Wonderful!

We're in the Brisbane airport, ready for the last leg of out flight home.

It's been an eventful trip:

Moments before Dan was to speak, he was involved in getting a seriously sick PNG student into a taxi to go to the hospital.

The day after sharing the gospel on the beach, Elton met up with the fellow who had prayed with him.  He is a high school student who had been in a "cult" (not sure if he meant a religious cult or a gang.)   After talking with Elton on the beach and becoming a Christian, this guy decided to quit his cult (of which he was the leader.)  Some of his group had seen him talk to Elton and later demanded to know who he was talking to and started to beat him up after hearing he wanted to quit their group.  He ran away and they followed.  He stopped to rest, and the group ran right past him.  Elton said, after talking with this young high schooler the next day, that he was truly an example of a changed life!

Almost didn't get on campus one day because the security guard wanted a bribe.

A group of about 8 or 9 Solomon Island students who attend university at UPNG sang at the closing of the conference.

One student said that after attending Dan's seminar on how to experience God's love and forgiveness, she was finally able to forgive her father for leaving her family...and asked for prayer for him.

Dan is noticing all the floor tiling of everywhere we go.  (He just finished retiling our bathroom floor before leaving for this trip.)

Thanks to all of you who prayed for us!  We couldn't do this without you!

Easter Trip Day 8: "Lazy!"

Well, it's the day after the conference, and we've been lazing around like whipped puppies.  It's HOT today, too, so we're raining sweat!  It's nice to have a day with no big responsibilities.

Dan did work on Eva's new computer, setting it up, then explaining it all to her...But I was not called upon for my "computer know-how!"  Tee Hee!  I just gave her all our left-over chocolate, peanut butter, and crackers, since we're leaving in the morning.

I want everyone to know that I managed not to walk into anyone else's room by mistake this trip!

One more sleep........
